<p><strong>Event Leader: Jason</strong></p> <p></p> <p><strong>Event Overview:</strong></p> <p>Magnet fishing is a fascinating and increasingly popular hobby that combines elements of treasure hunting, environmental cleanup, and outdoor exploration. It involves using a strong magnet attached to a rope to search for metallic objects submerged in bodies of water, such as rivers, lakes, canals, ponds, or even the ocean. This unique activity has gained a dedicated following in recent years, thanks to its blend of excitement and the potential for discovering hidden treasures.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Event Details</strong></p> <p>We'll meet up at 10am at Goodby's Creek boat ramp - but make sure you do not block spots designed for vehicles with boat trailers. We will do the bulk of the magnet fishing on the ends of the docks flanking the ramp, but we will be cautious not to block any boat traffic as folks onboard/offboard at the ramp. </p> <p></p> <p>What can you expect to find? Some of the things others have found include: keys, knives, guns, batteries, safes, scooters, bicycles, fishing tackle, car parts, nails, and more.
